Highly recommend VPC for electrical work
Our kitchen GFI outlet failed, and we needed a quick repair. Tim at VPC Electric, Coeur d'Alene, ID, and Spokane, WA, was very helpful over the phone, suggesting how I could myself test if the GFI failed or an appliance, possibly avoiding an electrician visit to save money. After quickly following his test directions, we agreed the GFI needed replacement, and Tim quickly arranged for a same-day visit. Zak arrived and was very helpful and personable, explaining his testing of the GFI and other kitchen outlets and the breaker box. He was patient and listened to my questions about the kitchen wiring over two circuits, so I now know which outlets are on which circuit with GFI and breaker. My home electricity went on the fritz suddenly on a Monday morning, and it soon became clear that calling a licensed professional was in order.
Based upon online reviews, I called VPC Electric. I spoke with Kendra, who was very gracious, professional, and well versed in the electrical service industry. I described the problem, and Kendra secured a time slot for the afternoon on Thursday. I told Kendra I would welcome any earlier time slot should one become available.
Sure enough, Kendra called Thursday morning at 8:30 to ask if 9:00 a.m. would work. Thirty minutes later, Sherman arrived at my home on time and ready to investigate an electrical fault involving several outlets. He was dressed appropriately for this scope of work, and he carried a wide variety of high-quality tools for detailed and precision work.
I explained the problem, and in short order, Sherman accurately diagnosed the problem and drafted an estimate for my review. Thereafter, Sherman commenced repairs while explaining the steps to me. Within no time, my outlets were back in business.
This is an increasingly rare example of an urgent in-home repair wherein all that was promised was delivered on time, within budget, in accordance with code, and properly installed. I will ask for Sherman when I call VPC in the near future for some electrical upgrades and modifications.

Both Electricians Have Great Personalities
Eddie Pentis, Operations Manager of VPC Electric, was at my home today and was very thorough about finding the cause of our smoke detector issues. He went above and beyond just fixing that.
Terry was also with him, and he installed a new ceiling light and gave great instruction on how to change the brightness, etc. Terry also installed a new GFCI outlet that was continually tripping. There was loose, burnt, or old wiring behind the outlet.
